Punjab Foundation Honors Senior Educators with Lifetime Achievement Awards; RS MP Satnam Singh Sandhu attends as a Chief Guest

Chandigarh, September 4 –

On the eve of Teachers’ Day, The Apna Punjab Foundation, an organization actively working in the fields of health, education, and environment, on Thursday launched a maiden initiative to honor senior educators.
Teachers aged 70 and above, who are still actively contributing to education and society, were felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award in a special ceremony.
Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, said: “Teachers are the true guides of society. It is our duty to honor those who have imparted knowledge to generations. These individuals have not only provided academic education but have also instilled values that shape successful and responsible citizens”.
Dr. Jagjit Singh Dhuri, Founder and President of the Foundation, shared that the awards were presented during a special event held at the PHD Chamber, Chandigarh. Following nominations made by students, a total of 25 senior educators were selected and honored with the ‘Arpan Award’.
The honored educators included: Harpal Singh, Baldev Raj Ahuja, Rajinder Kumar, Dr. Tripta Sharma, Sudesh Joshi, Ramesh Kumar, Dr. R.K. Sharma, Karamjeet Kaur, Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Dr. Beantjeet Kaur, Dr. Vijay Nagpal, R.K. Mahajan, Rupinder Tiwari, Sharanjit Singh, Sarwan Singh Chauhan, Bharti Kalra, Jagjit Kaur, Amrit Singh Talwandi, and Santokh Singh.
The program was supported by JAC (Joint Action Committee) and the School Federation. Representing JAC were Manjit Singh and Nirmal Singh, while the Federation was represented by Bhupinder Singh, Baldev Bawa, and Anil Mittal.
