Kendra organized a special musical extravaganza on the occasion of Guru Purnima

 

Guru Shishya parampara plays a vital role in Indian classical arts. On the occasion of Guru-Purnima disciples expressed their gratitude by bowing down to their Guru. On the auspicious occasion of Guru-Purnima, a special programe of music and dance was organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra, an organization dedicated to Art and Culture where students learn classical arts under ancient Guru Shishya Parampara . In this program various students receiving music and dance training at Kendra paying respects to their gurus by showcasing their art and talent. The programe was organized at ML Koser Auditorium, Sector 35/B from 6:00 pm onwards. At about 40 students took part in this programe

On this occasion Kendra’s faculty members Guru Brij Mohan Gangani , Guru Yogesh Sharma , Sh. Pravesh Kumar, Dr. Shimpi Kashyap, Sh. Avirbhav Verma and Mrs. Rakhi were also present in the program to encourage their disciples.

The programe commenced with Tabla recital by the disciples of Avirbhav Verma in which the students presented group Tabla recital set to teen Taal. After this, the disciples of Pravesh Kumar presented dohas which were well appreciated by the audience. After this, a beautiful composition set to Raag Darbari was presented by Shourin who is the ICCR student from Bangladesh learning classical music at Kendra . After this, a bhajan “Saadho Aisa Hi Guru Bhave” was presented by a group of students under the direction of Dr. Shimpi Kashyap.

In the next part of the program, various dance performances were showcased by the National and International students who are taking training at the Kendra . Guru Yogesh Sharma’s disciple Arya started the program with Vandana . Then another talented disciple Riya Agarwal who is the disciple of Guru Shobha Koser presented Kathak dance which was well received by the audience. After this, Rashi and Ridhima presented Vishnu Vandana and Kathak dance based on teen taal under the able direction of Guru Brij Mohan Gangani.

After this international students of the Kendra Lunara, Rewan and Nahian, , who learning kathak under the tutelage of Guru Yogesh Sharma, won the hearts of the audience with their performance. By showing such dance skills on stage in just three years of practice and mastery of discipleship, these students presented themselves as capable disciples. At the end of the program, Rakhi’s disciples expressed their gratitude to the Guru with their beautiful performances.

At the end of the program, the Registrar of the Kendra , Dr. Shobha Kosar congratulated all the Gurus and encouraged the disciples with inspiring words.
